Financial Planning Advisor or Financial Planning Associate  (Advisor-Track)

 

Reports to: Managing Partner
Location: Remote hybrid (Boston, MA or Sarasota, FL) 

About the Role

Archer Bay Capital is growing, and we are looking for a thoughtful, relationship‑driven Financial Planning Advisor to join our team. You will support an established group of high‑net‑worth clients while working closely with the Managing Partner to deliver personalized financial planning, investment guidance, and ongoing care. Over time, you will become the primary advisor for a portion of the firm’s clients and play a meaningful role in helping individuals and families reach their long‑term goals. We welcome candidates who bring curiosity, empathy, and a collaborative spirit, even if not every qualification is met.

 

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Work closely with a senior leader to nurture and deepen long‑term client relationships.
  • Engage in client meetings, gather financial information, and prepare financial plans and investment reviews.
  • Serve as a trusted, approachable point of contact for clients seeking guidance, updates, or support.
  • Ensure timely follow‑up, clear documentation, and smooth coordination with custodians and service partners.

 

Financial Planning & Investment Support

  • Maintain and update financial plans using the firm’s planning tools to support thoughtful, personalized client guidance.
  • Assist with portfolio reviews and help communicate investment strategy in a clear, client‑centered way.
  • Support essential compliance, recordkeeping, and operational processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across the firm

 

Firm Marketing & Collaboration

  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, including content creation and client communications.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts by helping create thoughtful content and clear, engaging client communications.
  • Participate in broader RIA operations as part of a small, supportive team that values collaboration and shared success.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 65 or equivalent (e.g., CFP)
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial planning, client advisory, or wealth management
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working with high‑net‑worth individuals
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong writing and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with RIA operations and compliance
